An artist was once asked where he got his content from. He replied that content is nothing more than "organized tension." Regardless of their craft, all artists deal with tension. The tension between one aesthetic choice over another. The tension between asking a question and offering an answer. The true challenge for an artist is to balance this tension in order to communicate the delicate balance that is a truly great piece of art.
We all face tension in our daily lives. We struggle to balance the tensions of work, relationships, aspirations and fears. At times this balance can seem impossibly elusive and at others it just happens naturally, like that was the only way the world could be.
This blog is my attempt to organize the tension in my life. I will be sharing my adventures, thoughts, stories and anything else that crosses my mind. The title of the blog is "An Accidental Adventure" because that is probably the best way to describe my life. I've always found more success when I don't plan but just trust in providence. Huck Finn taught me that.
